adjusted knowledge: Pokemon was invented in 1995. The card game came out in the US in 1999, the TV show in the US in 1997, and the first video games were released in 1998 in the US.
Not sure where you got 1994 from.
my boy is 10 and has got very interested in pocamon cards.
( a game way to complicated for me to understand) but i've also noticed it's linked to a computer game, which seems harmless enough but i also noticed advertisements for more violent games appear.. i would value people's opinion on whether, you think video games cause bad behaviour in kids.
i should mention my kid says i limit his time on these games, much more than other children's parents, and i was thinking of reevaluating that rule.. thanks.. the rebel..

there's literally zero evidence that video games cause violent behavior. What has been noted is that kids with aggressive or violent tendencies can have bad behaviors triggered by video games. However, those same kids can also be triggered by literally any sort of stress, like a game of chess or monopoly.
as for limiting video game time, that's a tough call. My parents severely limited my time. When i got older and they couldn't control it, i went overboard and spent wayyyyyy too much time with them. You gotta find the right balance. Let them play games but also get them outside and active with something like little league baseball.

dear brothers:.
i always sit in the same spot, just outside starbucks in a vestibule area with a table in the air-conditioned space.
i say "always," but not today.. somebody with two laptops and a table filled with business ledgers was in "my" favorite spot!.
so, i took a tiny wooden table inside the coffee shop on a long padded bench next to 3 other identical tables.. as the clickbait banner ads like to say: "and what happened next was simply unbelievable!".

pray for brother jackson of the governing body!.
in todays news from australia it appears that, despite his previous declination to appear when invited, justice mcclellan from the australian royal commission on child sex abuse will officially summon brother geoffrey jackson to the stand after all.. ..... the commission was due to conclude its hearings into the jehovahs witnesses on wednesday but justice mcclellan said he will now call geoffrey jackson, a senior member of the churchs governing body in new york who is currently in australia, to appear next week.. .

i have been recently reading in jw.org the following absurdities on their black and white world: .
do jehovahs witnesses have rules about dating?......christians who want to marry are commanded to choose only a fellow believer.
(1 corinthians 7:39) jehovahs witnesses view this command as referring not merely to a person who respects our beliefs but to one who shares and practices those beliefs as a baptized witness.
what if you touch the breast but not the nipple?
what about the areola?
i bet they have rules for that too
here is a quote from a w/t article a few years ago.
in all the 8 kh i attended [work locations changed] not one body of elders followed this direction, so if they are not minding the sheep who is?
it galls me that they will quickly act if you grow a beard, or voice an opinion, or ask a question, but when your family fall foul of abuse where are the elders then?.
making the rounds on facebook among jws is a photo of a 'parents' magazine cover that shows the cgi jw.org kids on the cover, and an article headline about how wonderful the teaching tools on jw.org are.
(i don't have the time or the desire to hunt the photo and post it - sorry).
i immediately suspected some bored and naive jw doing some photoshopping.
so i was fooled by the witnesses.
what can i learn from that?
not to accept things at face value but to seek out opinion and different view points.. hence my question " do you believe man landed on the moon?.
